Bambusa balcooa |
Bambusa balcooa or the Balcooa Bamboo is a clumping bamboo of Indian origin. It is popular with the Vietnamese as food, and can be used as a short life timber for temporary constructions. Although a species of copious growth, it cannot get out of control as running types when not tended. It can grow up to a height of 25 m, and a thickness of 15 cm.[1]
